SPECIAL MEETING
JULY 9,1984
The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,was held on July 9,1984,at the Apache Junction City Council
Chambers pursuant to the notice required by law.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Clarke called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.

PROPOSED RESOLUTION NO.84-34,ISSUANCE
AND SALE OF $1,500,000 OF STREET AND
HIGHWAY USER REVENUE BONDS
)City Manager Michael J.McNulty
stated that the bids had been opened at 10:00 a.m.,and called upon a
representative of Rauscher,Pierce,and Refsnes.
Mr.Harry Pernell reported on the
bid opening stating that the best bid received was by Dean Witter Reynolds,
Inc.with an interest rate of 9.76%,and also read the remaining bid pro-
posals.
Attorney Alan Meda,representing the
firm of O'Connor,Cavanaugh,addressed the Council regarding the proposed
resolution.
Vice Mayor Eidson MOVED THAT BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THAT RESOLUTION NO.84-34,A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE
AND SALE OF $1,500,000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,STREET AND HIGHWAY USER REVENUE BONDS,PROJECT OF 1984;PROVIDING
FOR THE FORM Of THE BONDS;PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE BONDS;AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,BE AND HEREBY IS APPROVED AND ADOPTED.
VOTE:Unanimous
The motion carried.
Councilman Hill seconded the motion.
PROPOSED RESOLUTION NO.84-35,AWARD
OF THE CONTRACT FOR THE STREET AND
HIGHWAY USER REVENUE BONDS
)Councilman Shanks MOVED THAT BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THAT RESOLUTION NO.84-35,A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF $1,500,000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA
STREET AND HIGHWAY USER REVENUE BONDS,PROJECT OF 1984;AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY,BE AND HEREBY IS APPROVED AND ADOPTED.
Councilman Taylor seconded the
motion.
VOTE:Unanimous
The motion carried.
