CONSTITUTION WEEK
SEPTEMBER 17 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 23, 2024
WHEREAS, it is the privilege and duty of the American people to
commemorate the two hundred and thirty-seventh
anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the
United States of America with appropriate ceremonies
and activities; and
WHEREAS, the Constitution of the United States of America, the
guardian of our liberties, represents the principles of
limited government in a Republic dedicated to rule by
law; and
WHEREAS, on this day and during this week, we celebrate our great
founding charter as a lasting beacon of freedom; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to accord official recognition to
this magnificent document and its memorable
anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Public Law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation
each year by the President of the United States of
America designating September 17 through 23 as
Constitution Week.
NOW,THEREFORE,I,Chip Wilson,by virtue of the authority vested in me
as Mayor of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona, do hereby proclaim the
week of September 17 through 23, 2024 as
CONSTITUTION WEEK
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal
of Apache Junction to be affixed the _?L day of _2024.
