ENERGY EFFICIENCY MONTH
OCTOBER 2024
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction is committed to fostering economic
development and environmental stewardship through the promotion
of energy-efficient practices and technologies; and
WHEREAS, energy efficiency measures not only reduce energy consumption and
greenhouse gas emissions, but also lower utility bills, create jobs,
and improve the overall quality of life for residents; and
WHEREAS, reducing the demand of energy through efficiency
can help bridge the gap between current supply and the addition of
new generation. Energy efficiency is a cost-effective and readily
available solution that can be implemented by individuals,
businesses, and government entities alike; and
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction recognizes the importance of
collaboration and education in achieving our energy efficiency goals,
and supports partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and
residents to raise awareness and implement energy-saving initiatives;
and
WHEREAS, October is recognized nationally as Energy Efficiency Month, a
time to celebrate the progress made in energy efficiency and
recommit ourselves to further action.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Walter"Chip" Wilson, Mayor of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona, do hereby proclaim October as
ENERGY EFFICIENCY MONTH
