IN RECOGNITION OF HONORABLE SERVICE
WHEREAS, James Edwards has dedicated the last 25 years of his life to this
community, and has demonstrated in many practical ways his deep
and genuine love for the city and community; and
WHEREAS, he has served the community with distinction as a cherished
volunteer with the Apache Junction Visitor Center, by demonstrating
his local knowledge and enthusiasm to tourists and visitors; and
WHEREAS, throughout his career of being an outstanding, conscientious and
trustworthy steward of our community, he has spent over 19,000
hours volunteering at the Visitor Center which has won him respect
and affection of his fellow volunteers; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Walter "Chip" Wilson, Mayor of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona, and behalf of the entire City Council and all our citizens, do hereby tender to
James Edwards this certificate of public recognition, extending to him our deep
appreciation for his distinguished service, and our best wishes for continued success in all
his future endeavors.
