MEETING MINUTES
BOARD OF DIRECTORS ROLL CALL:

3.Award of bid, Project No. WD 96-01, Water Main Extension, to Lee's Backhoe
and Pipelines in an amount not to exceed $208.241.00.
District Manager Curtis Shook briefed the Board on the proposed contract and
recommended award of the bid and approval of the contract.
Mrs.Barker confirmed with staff that the one-year warrantee was normal for
workmanship and performance.
Mr.Durbala confirmed with staff that the job will be completed in 29 days from
the date of approval of the design by ADEQ to construct.Mr.Shook stated that
if they take longer than the 29 days for the job,they can be penalized with
about $600 to $700 per day.Mr.Durbala asked if that will force the district
to lose the contract.Mr.Shook answered no and that good faith will be the
measure at that point.
Mrs.Surra arrived at this time and Mr.Shook again briefed the Board on the
contract.
Mrs.Barker moved to award bid Project No.WD 96-01,Water Main Extension,to
Lee's Backhoe and Pipelines in an amount not to exceed $208,241.00 and to
authorize the District Manager to execute the agreement.Vice Chairman Richmond
seconded the motion.Motion passed 5-1 with Mrs.Surra voting against.
