1.Call to order.

3.Motion for executive session at 6:00 p.m., May 6, 1996,pursuant to A.R.S.
S 38-431.03.A.3, for the purpose of discussion and consideration for legal advice
with the District Counsel regarding Pinal County property tax payments.
Mrs.Barker moved for an executive session.Mr.Hendricks seconded the motion.
Motion passed unanimously.
Chairperson Coleman recessed public meeting at 6:06 p.m.
4.Reconvene public meeting.
Chairperson Coleman reconvened the public meeting at 6:56 p.m.
5.Approval of minutes of April 15,1996.
Mrs.Surra moved for adoption of the WUCFD meeting minutes of April 15,1996.
Mrs.Barker seconded the motion.Motion passed unanimously.
6.District Manager report.
District Manager Mr.Shook the hydrologist drew a number of conclusions about the
well being drilled at the Public Works yard.They are as follows:water
production from a 16 -inch gravel packed design well should produce up to 500
gallons/minute with the potential to produce considerably more based on the size
and type of pump to be used;the groundwater quality beneath the well site is
somewhat inconclusive but is of better quality than existing well No.5;
monitoring of well No. 4 water data suggests good quality water is available in
the area;and the well casing goes down to 1315 feet and they will put screens

at intervals from 750 to 1290 feet.Bottom line is that it is a good well with
high quality water that should produce two to four times what we are currently
producing.
District Manager Mr. Shook stated we have submitted all the necessary paperwork
on our assured water supply and we are now at the public notice phase.If no
objections have arisen at the end of this phase it is then signed off and we will
have our official assured water designation.
District Manager Mr.Shook stated the rate study should be started next week.
We are now working with the sewer district in the discussion of getting effluent
credits from the district,in which we get credit for groundwater replenishment.
We have several main line extension requests,the most prominent being the
extension to the Four Sons Development,which is almost all in.
Mr.Durbala questioned the agreement on the percentage of effluent water being
used for the golf course.Mr.Shook did not have an answer at this time but will
research i t and have an answer for him.
7.District Treasurer report.
District Treasurer Keith Lewis stated they were given the April 30th report
showing the district is growing.He cannot project through June/July at this
time,however,depending on how things go through June,the city may have its
contribution reduced.No set plan on paying the city back yet.
8.District Counsel report.
District Counsel Bill Farrell stated he has a brief recap on three items.
Hopefully at next month's meeting he will have an agreement on the tax matter,
an amended loan document which will extend the First Interstate loan to the
December 31,1996,and the signed Central Arizona Project transfer documents.
