REGULAR MEETING
JANUARY 16,2001 '
The regular meeting of the District Board of the Water Utilities
Community Facilities District (Apache Junction Water Company),City of Apache
Junction.Arizona,was held on January 16,2001,at the Apache Junction City
Council Chambers pursuant to the notice required by law.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Coleman called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Board Members Present:Chairperson Douglas Coleman
Vice Chairperson Anne Surra
Mr.Rick Dietz
Mr.R.E.Eck
Mr.John Insalaco
Ms.Carol Urich
Staff Present:
(Mr.Joe Durbala was absent.)

Brian Hall,District Water Superintendent
Others Present:George Hoffman,Assistant City Manager
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF DECEMBER 4,2000
)Mr.Dietz MOVED THAT WE
ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE DECEMBER 4,2000,MEETING.
Mr.Eck SECONDED THE MOTION.
VOTE:Unanimous.

DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF AWARD OF
BID FOR PROJECT WD 2000-06,SECOND PHASE
OF INTERCONNECTION WITH ARIZONA WATER
COMPANY
)District Water Superintendent
Brian Hall briefed the board on the item.Only one bid was received for this
project and it was made by the same company that is doing the work for Arizona
Water.He commented total cost,if this bid is awarded,will be $46,941.89
for the entire project,bringing it in under the $50,000 budgeted.
Vice Chairperson Surra asked where
the funds remaining in the budget would go.
District Water Superintendent Brian
Hall stated it would remain in the capital items in the water district budget.
The Broadway water line was a little bit over budget,this one will be a
little bit under budget.
Ms.Urich MOVED THAT THE AWARD OF
BID FOR PROJECT WD 2000-06,SECOND PHASE OF INTERCONNECTION WITH ARIZONA WATER
COMPANY,BE AWARDED TO MK COMPANIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,048.89 WITH UP TO AN
ADDITIONAL 10%FOR ANY UNFORESEEN CHANGE ORDERS FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$14,353.89.
VOTE:Unanimous.
The motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
