REGULAR MEETING
JULY 17, 2006
The regular meeting of the District Board of the Water
Utilities Community Facilities District (Apache Junction Water
Company), City of Apache Junction, Arizona, was held on July 17,
2006, at the Apache Junction City Council Chambers pursuant to
the notice required by law.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Coleman called the meeting to order at 6:00
p.m.

DISTRICT OPERATIONS MANAGER REPORT
None.
DISTRICT MANAGER REPORT
None.
DISTRICT TREASURER REPORT
District Finance Manager John White stated he briefly wanted to
walk the board through the different reports.He stated that
the first page is the monthly budget report; as with the
previous month, they are still in the reed for the bottom line.
The deficiency of revenues versus expenditures is $179,349.The
good news is that most of that is not attributable to the plant
line item.It is in proportion to the previous year's amounts
or $101,000.The reason for the jump this year is that we have
outlays in the Central Arizona Project for the recharge water
that was sold to the new Magma district.That accounts for
$236,000.Without that, they would have had their first month
of profit in a long time.Additional costs incurred with the
collapse of Well #5; as it is reestablished, they now have some
bills that were outstanding, there have been no additional costs
incurred in June.The capital outlay page may have more
accruals having to do with contracts for which they have not
been invoiced as of yet.There were 2 invoices this month, one
for Gilbert Pump for the labor for Well #5 installation for
$15,240 and the for some radio equipment at Well #8 for $4,006.
Mr. Dietz asked if Well #8 is completed.

District Operations Manager commented they are still waiting for
power from Salt River Project.
DISTRICT COUNSEL REPORT
None.
MOTION FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR THE
PURPOSE OF APPRAISAL OF DISTRICT
PROPERTY, CONTRACT WITH US FILTER,
CONSULTANT SELECTION PROCEDURE AND
EXPENDITURE OF DISTRICT FUNDS
)Mr. Dietz MOVED THAT AN
EXECUTIVE SESSION BE HELD AT 6:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, JULY 17, 2006,
IN THE CITY COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONSULTATION OF LEGAL ADVICE WITH THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY IN
ACCORDANCE WITH A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(3),(4), AND (7), AS FURTHER
OUTLINED ON THIS AGENDA.
Mr. Waldron SECONDED THE
MOTION.
VOTE:Unanimous.
The motion carried.
