CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA
REGULAR MEETING
January 15, 2013
The regular meeting of the District Board of the Water
Utilities Community Facilities District, City of Apache
Junction, Arizona, was held on January 15, 2013, at the Apache
Junction City Council Chambers pursuant to the notice required
by law.
*Due to a tape malfunction, the majority of this meeting was not
recorded.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Insalaco called the meeting to order at 6:03
p.m.

DISCUSSION OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT FOR SYSTEM CONNECTION AND
WATER RESOURCE ACQUISITION FEES
BETWEEN TISCHLERBISE AND APACHE
JUNCTION WATER UTILITIES COMMUNITY
FACITITIES DISTRICT

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR SYSTEM CONNECTION AND WATER
RESOURCE ACQUISITION FEES BETWEEN TISCHLER BISE AND APACHE
JUNCTION WATER UTILITIES COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $16,240 BE APPROVED AND THAT THE BOARD CHAIR OR VICE
CHAIR BE AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THIS AGREEMENT SUBJECT TO FINAL
APPROVAL AS TO FORM BY DISTRICT LEGAL COUNSEL.

DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF
FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A ONE MILLION
GALLON STORAGE TANK BETWEEN CURRIER
CONSTRUCTION, INC. AND APACHE
JUNCTION WATER UTILITIES COMMUNITY
FACILITIES DISTRICT.

DISTRICT MANAGER REPORT
None.
DISTRICT DIRECTOR REPORT
Discussion on the Intergovernmental Agreement between
Superstition Mountains Community Facilities District No. 1 and
Apache Junction Water Utilities Community Facilities District
for sale of Long Term Storage Credits was in progress when
recording of the meeting was attained.
District Manager George Hoffman stated he does not want to be in
a negotiating position with the sewer district where they are 70
feet underwater for the recharge agreement. He is going to take
us above ground where they have many more options so that the
city council and the water board would not be held in a position
where someone might potentially say "if you don't give us what
we want, you won't get your recharge agreement".We are going
to have to explore our options.
