NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND AGENDA OF THE DISTRICT BOARD OF THE
WATER UTILITIES COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT(CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA)
Pursuant to A.R.S § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the District Board of
the Water Utilities Community Facilities District, (City of Apache Junction, Arizona), and to the
general public, that on Tuesday, March 17, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., the District Board of the Water
Utilities Community Facilities District will hold a meeting open to the public at the Apache
Junction City Council Chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd., Apache Junction, AZ.
A. Call to Order
Chairperson Serdy called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.

1. 20-131 Approval of the meeting minutes of February 18, 2020.
Board Member Barker made a motion to approve the minutes of February 18,2020.Board
Member Evans seconded.

2. 20-132 Discussion and approval of agreement with Campground USA, LLC for a
water line extenstion to the Campground USA, LLC campground and payment
of a water resource fee.
Board Member Rizzi arrived at 6:05 p.m.
District Director Mike Loggins presented an overview of a water resource and water system
infrastructure agreement between Apache Junction Water Utilities Community Facilities District
and Campground USA,LLC.The agreement is for a water line extension to the Campground
USA,LLC campground,a 129-space seasonal campground located at 2851 South Tomahawk
Road,Apache Junction,Arizona and the payment of a water resource fee.This project is
developer funded and there would be no cost to the Water District.
Board Member Barker made a motion to approve the agreement between Apache Junction Water
Utilities Community Facilities District and Campground USA,LLC for a water line extension to the
Campground USA,LLC campground and payment of a water resource fee.Board Member Evans
seconded.

3. 20-133 Discussion and approval of agreement with Lennar Arizona, Inc.for a water
line extensiton to the Goldview Subdivision and payment of a water resource
fee.
District Director Mike Loggins presented an overview of a water resource and water system
infrastructure agreement between Apache Junction Water Utilities Community Facilities District
and Lennar Arizona,Inc.The agreement is for a water line extension to the Goldview
Subdivision,a 179-lot single-family housing development located along Goldfield Road north of
U.S.Highway 60,in Apache Junction,Arizona and the payment of a water resource fee.This
project is developer funded and there would be no cost to the Water District.
Board Member Evans made a motion to approve the agreement between Apache Junction Water
Utilities Community Facilities District and Lennar Arizona,Inc.for a water line extension to the
Goldview Subdivision and payment of a water resource fee.Vice Chairperson Wilson seconded.

D. District Manager Report
District Manager Bryant Powell presented an overview on the high percentage of water in the
reservoir system as reported on the SRP Watershed Connections website.This year's snowpack
and rain have contributed to the higher water levels which is great news for Arizona and the
future of underground storage.

E. District Director Report- Presentation and discussion of the following items:
4. 20-169 Presentation, discussion and update on:
• Water Festival
District Director Mike Loggins gave an update on the Apache Junction Water Festival scheduled
for April 23,2020.As of March 17,2020 the water festival is still on schedule,but this may change
if the schools continue to be closed due to the Corona Virus.The Water District will provide
updates as they become available.
District Director Mike Loggins presented the Apache Junction Water District's COVID-19
announcement to limit gatherings and practice social distancing by encouraging customers to use
other options to make payments on their water bill to avoid coming into the office.The District
would like customers to use the following options for making payments;send payment by U.S.
mail,use the drop boxes,call into the office and speak to a customer service representative,pay
online through their web account or by using their banks online payment option.
F. District Treasurer Report- Presentation and discussion
5. 20-144 Presentation, discussion and update on:
a Second quarter financial report
District Treasurer Donna Meinerts presented the District's summary of revenues and expenditures
for the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2020.
G. Adjournment
