Superstition Blvd.,Apache Junction,AZ. A. Call to Order Chairperson Wilson call the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. B. Agenda Items 1. 21-195 Approval of minutes of meeting of February 16,2021. Board Member Rizzi made a motion to approve the minutes of February 16,2021.Board Member Biggs seconded. Board Member Biggs made a motion to select the following dates,times and locations for Fiscal Year 2021-2022;special meeting for budget work session(s)on Tuesday,May 4,2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council chambers, regular meeting and public hearing for adoption of class and compensation and tentative budget on Tuesday,May 18,2021 at 6:00 p.m.in the City Council chambers;and regular meeting for public hearing and final budget adoption on Tuesday,June 15,2021 at 6:00 p.m.in the City Council chambers.Board Member Rizzi seconded. D. District Manager Report No report. District Manager Bryant Powell thanked SRP for coming in and presenting at this evening's meeting. E. District Director Report- Presentation and discussion of the following items: 3. 21-197 Presentation and discussion of the following items: • America's Water Infrastructure Act-Risk and Resilience Assessment and Emergency Response Plan, Professional Service Agreement with West Yost • One Water Management Plan, Professional Service Agreement with Carollo Engineers • Annual Arizona Department of Water Resources report on water deliveries and groundwater pumping • Water System update District Director Mike Loggins presented an overview of America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 (AWIA), a Risk and Resilience Assessment(RRA)and Emergency Response Plan (ERP) that is required every five years and submitted to and certified by the Environmental Protection Agency.The District is hiring West Yost to complete the work. The RRA is due June 30,2021 and the ERP is due December 30, 2021. District Director Mike Loggins presented an overview of the One Water Management Plan.This is part of the general plan which encompassed water, sewer, storm water and parks to utilize keeping water within our community.The District is hiring Carollo Engineering, Inc. to complete the work. District Director Mike Loggins presented an overview on the Arizona Department of Water City of Apache Junction,Arizona Page 2 Water Utilities Community Facilities Meeting Minutes April 20,2021 District Resources annual report. The report shows water usage for previous years. Apache Junction Water District's usage are low for Arizona which is a benefit for the community. District Director Mike Loggins presented an overview on Sat River Project's current reservoir levels. Due to a warm summer in 2020 water levels are lower than last year.At this time there is no effect on our current water supply, but may in the future. Board Member Biggs thanked the Water District for contacting a customer prior to disconnecting their water service. He expressed his appreciation for the great job we do. 4. 21-198 Presentation and discussion from Ronald J. Klawitter, Principal Water System Projects of Salt River Project. Hilen Cruz, Public Engagement Group and Ronald Klawitter, Principal Water System Projects of Salt River Project(SRP)joined the meeting for a presentation on SRP's long term planning project at Horseshoe Dam. Currently when the Horseshoe Reservoir is over capacity the water is being released into the Salt River. SRP is looking into raising the dam in order to create more storage capacity.The presentation presents an overview on SRP plans and to inform communities not currently in the SRP Water Service Area of the project and the potential for acquiring access to more water resources for Apache Junction. F. District Treasurer Report-Presentation and discussion District Treasurer Leslie DeReche presented the District's summary of revenues and expenditures for the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2021. G.
