Chairperson Wilson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Vice Chairperson Rizzi made a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting of February 15,

District Director Loggins presented an update on the Arizona Department of Water Resources
2021 Annual Report.Apache Junction Water District's customer's usage consisted of 90%or
1,527 acre-feet of CAP surface water and 10% or 169 acre-feet of groundwater. Our
groundwater savings facility is at 1,000 acre-feet for future use. Water usage by our customers
in 2021 was 95 gallons per capita per day,which went down from 2020 showing our water
conservation efforts are working.
Mr. Loggins reported on the Salt River Project's Bartlett Dam Modification Feasibility Study. The
kick-off meeting for this study was March 3, 2022, and will continue for the next four years.The
committee consists of 17 voting members who will decide the need for future water supplies
that will be allocated from Salt River Project.
Chairperson Wilson asked how the water will be divided up. Mr. Loggins stated SRP will look at
all the cities involved and create a matrix based on what each city needs.
Mr. Loggins presented a Water Festival update. The Water District and Arizona Water
Company are working with Project Wet to plan the event and the date for the festival is
tentatively scheduled for April 21,2022.
F. District Treasurer Report- Presentation and discussion
District Treasurer De Reche presented the summary of revenues and expenditures for the
second quarter ending December 2021.The Water District is doing very well with revenues up,
which is based on new revenues coming in and expenditures down. Ms. DeReche state she
plans on providing quarterly reports to the board.
Vice Chairperson Rizzi asked what attributed to the increase and decreases. Ms. DeReche
explained that there were more system connections fees,water acquisition revenue, meter
reimbursements, and a small asset sale which are different items than we normally receive. Mr.
Loggins explained that the new Goldfield Estates contributed to some of the increase in
revenue. Ms. DeReche explained the decrease in expenditures is attributed to not spending on
capital expenditures so far this year.
G. Adjournment
Chairperson Wilson adjourned the meeting at 6:08 p.m.
