1. 23-148 Approval of the meeting minutes of February 21, 2023.

2. 23-149 Presentation, discussion, and update on District wide water system.
District Director Loggins presented an update on the construction happening on Ironwood Road.

About 12,210 feet of the 18,598 feet of 30"water main has been installed. Installation of the 24"
distribution main is also happening.There are about 2,600 feet of the 8,249 feet installed at this
time. Mr. Loggins presented a slide showing the area where the mains are being installed and
the progress.The District is working on obtaining a permit from Central Arizona Project to cross
the canal to connect to the treatment plant. Completion of the installation is anticipated by the
end of April.
Mr. Loggins presented an update on the new Water Campus 3 tank.The walls of the tank are
complete, and part of the roof has been installed. Completion of the tank is anticipated by the
end of April 2023.
Mr. Loggins presented an update on the upcoming new Utility Billing system.The contract was
approved in July of 2022. Data has been provided to Tyler Technologies and is being loaded into
the new system.The District is working on the transition and the goal to go live with the new
billing system is July 1, 2023.The District is working with Al Bravo and Matt McNulty to get
information together to start notifying customers. Postcards will initially be sent out to customers
notifying them of the upcoming changes,with additional mailings and social media posts to
follow with further information.
Mr. Loggins presented a re-cap on the Apache Junction Water Festival. The festival was held at
Prospector Park on March 2, 2023. The event was attended by four schools, consisting of 10
classes and over 277 fourth grade students. There were over 35 volunteers from the City of
Apache Junction,the Apache Junction Water District,Arizona Water Company, Project Wet
and the community. Mr. Loggins expressed his gratitude to all the volunteers who made the
event a success.
3. 23-151 Presentation, discussion, and update by Arizona Water on rate changes.
Fred Schneider, President, James Wilson,Assistant General Manager, Kelly Hauert,
Vice-President, Rates and Revenue; and Raluca Mihalcescu, Water Conservation Coordinator
from Arizona Water Company joined the meeting to present an overview of Arizona Water's rate
case and an update on their Demand Management Program.
