Idaho Road Regular Meeting March 3, 1992 A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was held March 3, 1992 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law. Roll Call -- Present Alger, Robert Campbell, Josephine McFair, Karen Selvy, Cindy Rineholt, Pamela Staff:Pamela Loui, Library Director 1. Acceptance of Agenda: 2. Acceptance of Minutes for February 4, 1992 Regular Meeting: 3. Librarian's Report: Absent Connolly, Cheryl Lovett, James Motion was made by Robert Alger and seconded by Josephine Campbell to accept the agenda.Motion passed. Motion was made by Pamela Rineholt and seconded by Robert Alger to accept the minutes of the February 4, 1992 meeting with the correction to item 5a noted.Should have said Pam Rineholt brought a check from Xi Beta Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi for Friends of the Library to use for the parade entry. Roll Call vote was taken. Passed unanimously. Statistics for February were down a little from last month but extremely higher than last year.It was the busiest February on record.There were 9 story hours with 167 attending, 2 tours with 38 people, 4 films shown with 98 attending, and the "I Love to Read" program with 200 in attendance. Schedule appointment to meet with George Hoffman: 6. Call to the Public: Trustees workshop will be held on April 2 in Tucson. Possibility of having a Board member review Agenda before it's sent out. The City Manager outlined that he would present a budget to City Council on April 6.No action with Council or Department Heads until sometime after that.There will be opportunites to make some recommended changes. Nothing to report. Nothing to report. Cindy Selvy will draft letter to the editor from Library Board of Trustees informing citizens of library funding. It should appear in paper around the time of the April 6 City Council meeting.Motion was made by Robert Alger and seconded by Josephine Campbell.Roll Call vote taken. Passed unanimously. Discussion on trying to get George Hoffman to attend the April 6 Board meeting to speak on raising public awareness, Home Rule and listen to ideas Board members have had.
