February 2, 1993
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of
Trustees was held February 2, 1993 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apache Junction
Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law.

Motion was made by Cindy Selvy
and seconded by Cheryl Connolly
to accept the agenda.Motion
passed.
Motion was made by Cindy Selvy
and seconded by Jimmy Griffing to
accept the minutes of the
January 5, 1993 meeting.Motion
passed.
Monthly statistics report for
January 1993 was distributed and
discussed.
Library clerk Derek Monypeny
presented his duties to the Board.
Derek is another great reason why
the library can serve the public
as it does.
The project team, including an
architect,arecurrentlyinvestigating
an appropriate design for the Apache
Junction Library expansion.Six
libraries were toured by the team.

TAB voted for a marching parade
entry.T-shirts will be worn
promoting the library.TAB will
give out stickers doing the same.
The certified letter sent to ask
absentee trustee to give intentions
as to involvement in Library Board
matters was returned unclaimed.
Other attempts to contact Josephine
Campbell by phone were also
unsuccessful.Motion was made by
Cindy Selvy and seconded by Cheryl
Connolly to recommend to the
City Council removal of Ms. Campbell
from the Board.Motion passed.
Budget is currently being prepared
and will be done by March 19, 1993.
Home Rule fact sheets will be
handed out by Library volunteers
before the March 9, 1993 election
to help voters understand the
Home Rule issue.
No response.
Library budget.
Put Lost Dutchman Parade issue
on August 1993 agenda for early
start.
