Regular Meeting
October 5, 1993
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of
Trustees was held October 5, 1993 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apache Junction
Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law.

Liz Burks, Youth Services Librarian
Vice President Cheryl Connolly conducted the meeting due to the late
arrival of President Pamela Rineholt.

Motion was made by Richard Morrison
and seconded by Jean Namsick to
accept the agenda.
Motion passed.
Motion was made by Robert Alger
and seconded by Richard Morrison to
accept the minutes of the September
7, 1993 meeting.Motion passed.
Announcements were made of upcoming
events.Statistics continue to
increase each month compared to
last year.
There were eight story hours and
one tour.

met with City Staff and relayed

Motion was made by Robert Alger and
seconded by Richard Morrison to accept
Library Security Committee report.
Motion passed unanimous.
First meeting will be October 13.
The Library received an award notice
stating it has received a Library
Services and Construction Act Title
VI Literacy Grant for $34,000.
Motion was made by Richard Morrison
and seconded by Robert Alger to revise
by-laws Article IV, Section 1, by
adding Vice President to the list of
officers elected at annual meeting.
Motion passed unanimous.
Motion was made by Jean Namsick and
seconded by Jimmy Griffing to revise
by-laws Article II, Section 4 by
altering the order of business at
each meeting.Motion passed
unanimous.
Jessie Lee, member of Teen Advisory
Board, reported on what they have
done so far this year.
Appreciation for Teen Advisory Board,
and Friends of the Library.
Final vote to change the by-laws.
