September 6, 1994
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was held
September 6, 1994 at 6:03 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as
prescribed by law.

Motion was made by Jean Namsick and
seconded by Cheryl Connolly to accept
the agenda. Motion passed.
Motion was made by Cheryl Connolly
and seconded by Jean Namsick to accept
the minutes of the August 2, 1994
meeting. Motion passed.
Circulation is up over same month last
year.Patron visits are up as well.A
number of items were loaned all over
the state through AZNET.Two film
programs were held.

Copy of a letter prepared by Spencer
for the Central Arizona Library
Cooperative: the Department of Library
Archives and Public Records will be
offering Internet services to EDIC
libraries, but only for the library staff.
We will need another option for public
access.
They are to the point of putting
electrical in the ground and two concrete
pourings are ready.The sample block
was approved for the exterior walls.
They are ahead of the 180 day schedule.
Budget was adopted with no substantial
changes.
All specifications for shelving have
been sent out to bid. Bids are due
September 15th and on agenda for
City Council meeting September 20th.
Furniture bid will be ready for
October 4th City Council meeting
Notice should come out in the
newspaper on Thursday, September 8th.
Grant discussed at last meeting was a
problem so was forgone in favor of
looking for others more adequate for
our needs.Hopes to get Dynix.Cost
is high, in the neighborhood of $60,000.
