Idaho Road Regular Meeting October 4, 1994 A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was held October 4, 1994 at 6:04 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law. Roll Call Present Absent Alger, Robert Hauck, Jeanette D. Griffmg, Kendra Rineholt, Pamela J. Staff Pamela Loui, Library Director 1. Acceptance of Agenda: 2. Acceptance of minutes for September 6, 1994 Regular Meeting: 3. Librarian's Report: Connolly, Cheryl Morrison, Richard Namsick, Jean A. Motion was made by Kendra Griffing and seconded by Jeanette Hauck to accept the agenda. Motion passed. Motion was made by Jeanette Hauck and seconded by Pamela Rineholt to accept the minutes for the September 6, 1994 Regular Meeting.Motion passed. There was an increase of more than 1,600 items in circulation over the previous September.Patron visits were also up over the same month a year ago. The first series of "Conflict Resolution for Kids" classes, jointly sponsored with Superstition Mountain Mental Health, was successfully completed.Thirteen City of Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees Regular Meeting October 4, 1994 Page 2 participated in the 5 week program. 4. Old Business: a. Grants update:Melinda Sisson, County Librarian, is still looking into possibilities. b. Library expansion update:Library walls are going up. c. Library shelving bid status report: 5. New Business: a. Teen Advisory Board annual report to the Library Board of Trustees: b. Acceptance of Richard Morrison's resignation from the Board: Bid was awarded to Cornell -Sleeper. Shelving is same as Central Arizona College has.Frost in color with end panels of light oak.May be able to install as early as mid -December, but construction schedule will delay until January. Andrew Loutzenheiser reported that during the last year the Teen Advisory Board decorated library for Christmas, had a Christmas play, planned entry for Lost Dutchman Parade, helped plan Summer Reading Program and put on two programs and a teen party. Held first meeting September 7th for new members.Will do same kind of things as last year.Tab meets every 2nd Monday with Liz. Robert Alger read a letter of resignation from Richard Morrison.Motion was made by Kendra Griffmg and seconded by Jeanette Hauck to accept Richard's resignation with regret.Motion passed unanimous with a roll call vote.
