Regular Meeting
August 6, 1996
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was held
August 6, 1996 at 6:05 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as
prescribed by law.

Motion was made by John Schoeph
and seconded by Barbara Gardner to
accept the agenda. Motion passed.

accept the minutes for the June 4, 1996

The monthly report has been redone to
serve our needs better.The books are all
one category now.The patrons are
divided into Adult and Juvenile now.
Presentations for various clubs,
organizations, and schools to talk about
the library were added.
A Home School Workshop is scheduled
soon and also an Open House for school
district employees.
We received a handout identifying what
was requested and recommended on
each budget item.The total amount
recommended was about $11,000 more
than what was requested.
The Grant from LSCA was finally
approved and the library staff is
reviewing various integrated systems.
The money has to be spent by September
1997.
We were given a written report by
Sherry Peabody on the five networked
computers and what they can do.

The election was postponed until the
September Regular Meeting since two
Board members were absent.
Jennifer Sanders-Rivette was introduced
to the Board.She works at the
circulation desk and does support
services for Spencer.
