Idaho Road Regular Meeting January 6, 1998 A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was held January 6, 1998 at 6:08 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law. Roll Call Present Gardner, Barbara L. Griffing, Kendra Nolan, Peter Poteet, Joyce Rineholt, Pamela J. Schoeph, John Staff: Pamela Loui, Library Director 1. Acceptance of Agenda: 2. Acceptance of minutes for December 2, 1997 Regular Meeting: 3. Librarian's Report: Absent Little, Millie Motion was made by Barbara Gardner and seconded by Kendra Griffing to accept the agenda.Motion passed. New Business: a.By-laws review, discussion and vote for revision. program was good and had an attendance of 160. The book discussion group and the humanities programs begin this month. Pamela Rineholt sent a letter of interest to the Coolidge board and is awaiting a reply. The committee, consisting of John Schoeph, Millie Little and Peter Nolan, have met and made recommendations. Changes have been noted in the policies draft by boldface and brackets.It has been suggested that the policies changes be reviewed and discussed at the next meeting.It was suggested that The Freedom to Read and The Library Bill of Rights documents be appended to the policies. Barbara Gardner will make corrections as discussed and copies will be sent to board members with the agenda for next month.The vote for the new by-laws will take place at the next regular meeting. b.Discussion on library policies issues and possible vote on some changes.This item was covered under item 4b.
