Idaho Road Apache Junction, Al 85219 Special Meeting June 29, 2005 A special meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache JiinctiOn Public Library was held June 29, 2005 at 6:04 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law. Roll Call Present Lori D'Amico Rhonda Jackson Michael Klatt Theresa Nesser Joyce Payne Staff: Pamela Loui, Library Director 1.Acceptance of Agenda: 2.Discussion on and approval of Library Board Annual Report: Absent Everett Deidiker Valerie Powell The question of accepting the agenda was placed before the Board.Joyce Payne made a Motion to accept the agenda.Michael Klatt seconded the motion.All members present were in favor. Pamela Loui,Library Director,presented the Annual Report.Specific services offered through the Library did not change much from last year. The Annual Report includes a Financial Statement based on documents from the Finance Department. The statement reflects the revenues collected through June 24,2005 and expenditures made through June 24,2005 for the Apache Junction Public Library from the General Fund (001), the Grants -in -trust Fund (004),and the Library Fund (007). The Library collected statistical data through June 23, 2005, on reference inquiries, interlibrary loans, registered readers and book titles.Also included were A -V collections,newspaper and magazine subscriptions and circulation of books, magazines, City of Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees Annual Report Page 2 3.Adjournment: audios and videocassettes.Additional statistics showed in-house computer use, volunteer hours and patron visits for the year. Pam quickly reviewed the narratives included concerning Adult,Youth and Teen Services and discussed the programs that were offered over the past year. Pam presented charts to demonstrate the growth in use of the library.These charts show an April through March year comparing the past five years. These figures show the increase over time for patron visits, circulation of materials and computer lab use. As always, the FOL sponsored, in part or in whole, all the special interest programs for youth and adults. Following the discussion, a motion was made by Theresa Nesser and seconded by Lori D'Amico to approve the Library Board Annual Report as written.Motion passed unanimously with a roll call vote. Meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
