June 26, 2008
A special meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache Junction
Public Library was held June 26, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apache
Junction Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law.

of Library Board Annual
Report:
The question of accepting the
agenda was placed before the
Board. All members present were in
favor.
Pamela Loui, Library Director,
presented the Annual Report.
Specific services offered through
the Library did not ch'ahge- much
from last year,.

The Annual Report 'includes a-Financial Statement -baSedon-
documents from the Finance
Department. The statement refleCts
the revenues collected through
June 24, 2008 and expenditures
made through June 24, 2008 for the
Apache Junction Public Library
from the General Fund (001), the
Grants -in -trust Fund (004),
City of Apache Junction
Library Board of Trustees
Annual Report

Capital Project (005), and the
Library Fund (007).
The Library collected statistical
data through June 23, 2007, on
reference inquiries, interlibrary
loans, registered readers and
books added and withdrawn.Also
included were the numbers of
books, audio and video materials
in the collection, and the number
of print newspaper and magazine
subscriptions.The report gives
figures for the circulation counts
for books, magazines, audios and
videos that were checked out
during the year.Additional
statistics showed in-house
computer use, volunteer hours and
patron visits for the year.
Pam quickly reviewed the
narratives included concerning
Adult, Youth and Teen Services and
discussed the programs that were
offered over the past year.
Pam presented charts -to
demonstrate the growth in use of
the library -for, 2002'/-0 through
2006/07:These' charts' are based
on a fiscal year r July through
June)comparing the past five
years.These figures .show the
increase over time for library
customer visits, circulation of
materials and library computer
use.
As always, the FOL sponsored, in
part or in whole, all the special
interest programs for youth and
adults.
