Idaho Road Apache Junction, AZ 85219 Special Meeting June 23, 2009 A special meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache Junction Public Library was held June 23, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law. Acceptance of Agenda: 2. Discussion on and approval of Library Board Annual Report: The question of accepting the agenda was placed before the Board. All members present were in favor. A motion was made by Rhonda Jackson and seconded by Marie DePalma to approve the Library Board Annual Report as written. Motion passed unanimously with a roll call vote. Spencer Paden, Library Manager, reviewed the Annual Report. Specific services offered through the Library did not change much from last year. City of Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees Annual Report Page 2 The Annual Report includes a Financial Statement based on documents from the Finance Department. The statement reflects the revenues collected through June 18, 2009 and expenditures made through June 18, 2009 for the Apache Junction Public Library from the General Fund (001), the Grants -in -trust Fund (004),and the Library Fund (007). The Library collected statistical data through June 22, 2009, on reference inquiries, interlibrary loans, registered readers and books added and withdrawn.Also included were the numbers of books, audio and video materials in the collection, and the number of print newspaper and magazine subscriptions.The report gives figures for the circulation counts for books, magazines, audios and videos that were checked out during the year.Additional statistics showed in-house computer use, volunteer hours and patron visits for the year. Spencer reviewed the charts to demonstrate the growth in use of the library for 2003/04 through 2007/08.These charts are based on a fiscal year (July through June)comparing the past five years.These figures show the increase over time for library customer visits, library computer use and circulation of materials. As always, the FOL sponsored, in part or in whole, many of the City of Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees Annual Report Page 3 3.
