October 8, 2009
A regular meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache
Junction Public Library was held October 8, 2009 at 6:27
p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as
prescribed by law.

The question of accepting the
agenda for the October 8,
2009 regular Meeting was
placed before the Board.
Theresa Nesser made a motion
to accept the agenda. A
second was made by Jon
Lokensgard. All members
present were in favor.

Spencer Paden reviewed the
monthly report for August and
September. There were
increases in circulation of
materials compared to those
of one year ago in both
reports. Programs also
continue to be popular.
None.
Meet Carolina Piedrahita.
Carolina works as a Library
Page part-time and has been
with the library for 2 years.
Carolina attends Arizona
State University and will be
attending medical school in
the future. She enjoys
working in the library and
putting the books in order.
Spencer discussed that the
Parks and Recreation
department recently did a
market study on public room
fees.They received council
approval to raise some of
their current room fees from
$15.00 to $20.00 per hour asof January 15t, 2010. Spencer
has requested that the Board
consider increasing the fee
of our program room so that
it is consistent with the
City of Apache Junction
Library Board of Trustees
Regular Meeting

other city offices.Theresa
Nesser made a motion to
increase the fee for public
use of the program room
effective January 2010 from
$15.00 to $20.00.Loretta
Nielsen seconded the motion.
The motion passed.
