April 8, 2010
A regular meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache
Junction Public Library was held April 8, 2010 at 6:32 p.m.
at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as
prescribed by law.

Meeting.
The question of accepting the
agenda for the April 8, 2010
regular Meeting was placed
before the Board. Robert Mayo
made a motion to accept the
agenda. Jon Lokensgard
seconded the motion. All
members present were in
favor.

1. Meet library staff
member.
2. Library Budget update
For Fiscal Year
2010/11
Marie DePalma turned in her
letter of resignation at the
end of the last board
meeting.She has moved out
of the city limits.
Spencer Paden reviewed the
monthly report for March.
Robert Mayo would like to see
the past months comparisons
of library fines reported at
the next meeting.Tess
Nesser would like to discuss
the possibility of sending
out e-mail reminder notices
for items that are due to be
returned.
None.
Meet John Feldt.John is a
part-time computer technical
assistant. John assists with
technical problems for the
staff and computer lab area.
John has been with the
library for 5 years.
Previously John spent 20
years in the military and
worked 12 years in the school
district.
There is currently no new
information on the budget.
The tentative budget adoption
is scheduled for July 6 th.
The final budget adoption is
scheduled for August 3 or 6.

3. Update on MediaBank.We will be receiving the
Media Bank Classic R model.
This bank has a capacity of
1,678 DVD/CDs and will allow
patrons to browse the
library's media collection,
select an item, check out the
item and receive a receipt.
A custom user interface will
provide step-by-step
instructions.The item can
also be returned through the
kiosk with a patron's library
card.
