June 10, 2010
A regular meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache
Junction Public Library was held June 10, 2010 at 6:31 p.m.
at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as
prescribed by law.

Meeting.
The question of accepting the
agenda for the June 10, 2010
regular Meeting was placed
before the Board. Rhonda
Jackson made a motion to
accept the agenda. Robert
Mayo seconded the motion. All
members present were in
favor.

E. Call to the Public:None.
F. Correspondence and
Communications:Tess Nesser announced an
upcoming Woman Suffrage event
to take place on August 26,
2010.This date marks the
90 th anniversary for the
passage of the 19 th Amendment
to the US Constitution.Tess
along with Tracie Curtis are
working together on the
event.Invitations have been
sent to female elected
officials around the state.
It will be an all day event
that will include a 20 minute
movie along with elected
women speaking in between
show times.
G. Librarian's Report:Spencer Paden reviewed the
monthly report for May.

For Fiscal Year
2010/11.
2. Update on MediaBank

3. LSTA Grant - Job
Training
Spencer discussed the budget
and some cuts that have been
made within the department.
Mediabank should be arriving
by the end of the month.
Money for installation has
been paid for by Pinal
County.
The Library just received a
grant for $99,997 from the
Arizona State Library,
Archives and Public Records.

4. Meet library staff
This grant will establish a
"Job Opportunities and Basic
Skills (JOBS) Training
Center" at the library.
Meet Tracie Curtis.Tracie
is a Supervisory Librarian.
She handles volunteers as
well as the Adult Services
and Youth Services
department.Tracie also puts
together programs and events
and attends HOA meetings to
inform the community about
what the library has to
offer.
5. Confirmation of date and
time in June for Special
Board meeting to discuss
and approve the Library
Board Annual Report.A special meeting of the
Board will be held on June
24, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. There
will be no Library Board
meeting in July.

about changing language in
bylaws to define "consecutive
year."
