Call to Order A regular meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache Junction Public Library was held September 13, 2012, at 6:35 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law. B. Roll Call Present Rhonda Jackson Dr. Jon Lokensgard Robert Mayo Randy Mullen Theresa Nesser Loretta Nielsen Drew Rappleye Absent Staff: Tracie Curtis, Supervisory Librarian Sancie Lee -Brown, Administrative Assistant C. Acceptance of Agenda: D. Acceptance of Minutes for August 9, 2012 Regular Meeting. The question of accepting the agenda for the September 13, 2012, regular Meeting was placed before the Board. Robert Mayo made a motion to accept the agenda. Randy Mullen seconded the motion. All members present were in favor. Old Business 1.Update on having a notary public on staff in the library. 2.Update on circulation of Kindle Touch e- readers 3.Update on children's touchscreen workstations. None. None. There were no questions regarding the monthly report. JOBS Training Center totals as listed under the "Programs" section are incomplete and will be revised and distributed to all upon completion. Tracie stated that she is interested in possibly becoming a notary public. She would like to table this discussion until Spencer is available at the next meeting. All members present were in favor. John Feldt handed out Kindles to each member and then showed how the Kindles operate.The demo included a discussion on how to download content through the Greater Phoenix Digital Library. John demonstrated how the new children's touchscreen workstations are used. These workstations were purchased by Final County for the children's area. Shari is the coordinator for the Teaching Literacy to Children (TLC) grant.This grant is a continuation of the JOBS Training Center grant.Shari will provide care for children ages 3 years to 10 years, Monday through Friday from lpm - 5pm. These services will be held in the Enchanted Forest (Program Room). Shari has 13 years experience working with women and children from pregnancy to 5 years of age and was previously the Director of a Child Care Center. J.
