January 10, 2013
A. Call to Order
A regular meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache
Junction Public Library was held January 10, 2013, at 6:30
p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as
prescribed by law.

C. Acceptance of Agenda:The question of accepting the
agenda for the January 10,
2013, regular Meeting was
placed before the Board.
Robert Mayo made a motion to
accept the agenda. Rhonda
Jackson seconded the motion.
All members present were in .

D. Acceptance of Minutes for
November 8, 2012 Regular
Meeting.The question of accepting the
minutes for the November 8,
2012, regular Meeting was
placed before the Board.
Rhonda Jackson made a motion
to accept the minutes. Todd

G. Librarian's Report:
All members present were in
favor.
None.
None.
There were no questions
regarding the monthly report.
The Polaris upgrade is
scheduled for January 30th.
Art Hangers are on order
through Joel Copeland of
Eastside Art.Contact
information will be available
on individual art pieces.
Most of the art will be
located in the original part
of the building with some in
the new area.We currently
have a vending contract
provided by Services for the
Blind, Department of Economic
Security. They will be trying
to go back and add in an ice
cream machine and coffee
machine. This contract
extension is only for a year
to allow time for the vendor
to fulfill the terms of the
contract and get these
vending machines in place. We
are also working with John
Hurley our Finra Financial
Literacy instructor to add
some videos soon.
Tracie Curtis discussed the
events calendar for the month
of January.
Tracie provided a summary on
Courts and the Library,grant
program information which

1. Meet Library staff
member.Meet Julie Reeves.Julie is
part of the Fun Van team.
Julie has a Bachelor's Degree
from ASU in Family and Human
Development and a Master's
Degree in Infant Mental
Health. She has worked for
the City of Tempe in addition
to working as a lead teacher
for Headstart. She has done
much volunteer and intern
work.
2. Central Arizona College
On Polaris system.Rhonda Jackson discussed
Central Arizona College
joining the cataloging
software system Polaris.
Every library in Pinal County
is currently on this system.
