Call to Order A regular meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache Junction Public Library was held April 14, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as prescribed by law. B. Roll Call Present Judy Borey Chester Burgess Robert Mayo Theresa Nesser Rhonda Jackson Absent Loretta Nielsen Randy Mullens Staff: Spencer Paden, Library Director Sancie Lee -Brown, Administrative Assistant C. Acceptance of Agenda: D. Acceptance of Minutes for January 14, 2016 Regular Meeting. The question of accepting the agenda for the April 14, 2016, regular Meeting was placed before the Board. Rhonda Jackson made a motion to accept the agenda Judy Borey seconded the motion. All members present were in favor. The question of accepting the minutes for the January 14, 2016 Regular Meeting was placed before the Board. Chester Burgess made a motion to accept the minutes. Robert Mayo seconded the motion. Meet Library staff Member(s) or Library VIP's. members present were in favor. None. We have received an email from Loretta Nielsen. Loretta has decided to resign from the Library Board. We are sorry to see her go and thank her for volunteering her time on the Library Board. Spencer provided an opportunity to review the monthly reports. In addition, he mentioned that there may be some budget cuts made to the collection. Tracie Curtis reviewed past and current events and read some of the wonderful notes from patrons about their good experiences with the library and staff. None. Meet Jacey Erdody.Jacey is a Library Page working part- time. Her duties include shelving books, helping customers and working at the call center and circulation desk. Jacey has volunteered with the Library since the age of 12 in addition to participating on the Teen Advisory Board as a member and a past President. Library Circulation Procedures. 3.Setting of date and time in June for Special Board meeting to discuss and approve the Library Board Annual Report. Trish Pelletier, Circulation, Acquisitions and Processing Supervisor reviewed some outdated procedures that would be removed from the manual including some language throughout the procedures that required modification.A motion was made by Rhonda Jackson to approve the modifications of the Library circulation procedures as identified and prepared by staff with the change of the word "shall" in the indicated document section titled "Loan Periods and Limits."Chester Burgess seconded the motion.A roll call vote was taken and all members present were in favor. Motion was made by Rhonda Jackson to set the special meeting date of the Library Board on June 30, 2016 at 6:30 pm. Chester Burgess seconded the motion.
