November 10, 2016
A. Call to Order
A regular meeting of The Board of Trustees of Apache
Junction Public Library was held November 10, 2016, at 6:30
p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as
prescribed by law.

C. Acceptance of Agenda:
D. Acceptance of Minutes for
October 13, 2016 Regular
Meeting.
The question of accepting the
agenda for the November 10,
2016, regular Meeting was
placed before the Board.
Robert Mayo made a motion to
change the order of the
agenda by moving item 1.1
immediately following item F.
Correspondence and
Communication. Chester
Burgess seconded the motion.
All members present were in
favor.
The question of accepting the
minutes for the October 13,
2016 Regular Meeting was

placed before the Board.
Robert Mayo made a motion to
accept the minutes. Samuel
Graves seconded the motion.
All members present were in
favor.
Richard Dyer attending.He
is the editor of the AJ/Gold
Canyon Independent.
F. Correspondence and
Communications:None.
I. New Business
1.Welcome Library Board
Members.Welcome Willie Howard.Mr.
Howard has lived here in
Apache Junction since 1989.
He does volunteer work around
the community and wants to
continue to be involved and
looks forward to being a part
of the Library Board.
G. Librarian's Report:
Welcome Samuel Graves. He has
been here for 10 years. He
has been to some of the
events in the library. Mr.
Graves attended the Citizen
Leadership Institute along
with Mr. Howard. He is happy
to be here.
Spencer provided an
opportunity to review the
monthly reports. The budget
will likely be somewhat flat
next year with no
anticipation of increases in
revenue. Should anything
change with the budget,
Spencer will provide that
information to the Board.

Manager provided information
on past and upcoming events
of the library.
None.
Robert Mayo made a motion
to nominate Chester Burgess
for office of President.
Willie Howard seconded the
motion.All members present
were in favor. Chester
Burgess accepted the
nomination.
Chester Burgess made a motion
to nominate Willie Howard for
office of Vice President.
Robert Mayo seconded the
motion.All members present
were in favor.Willie Howard
accepted the nomination.
Willie Howard made a motion
to nominate Samuel Graves for
office of Secretary.Robert
Mayo seconded the motion.
All members present were in
favor.Samuel Graves
accepted the nomination.
3.Tour of Library Spencer provided a short tour
of the library.
