March 14, 2024Library Board Meeting Minutes
Director Harrison discussed the monthly statistics for January and February. The programming
and attendance portion of the report has changed in format to make it easier for staff to do
annual reporting to the state. Other events held this past month were the Lost Dutchman Day
parade and Mario Day. Upcoming will be the LibraryCon event.
Director Harrison introduced the Friends of the Library President, Phyllis Niemela who
discussed what the organization does and some of the ways they raise funds for the library.
Director Harrison then introduced Jason Kirchofer. Jason is the new adult services supervisory
librarian. His goal is to be "innovative, fun and try new things." He would like to make the Apache
Junction Library the place to go to in the county. He plans to achieve this through collection
development, programming and outreach.
