Library Board Special Meeting
Doors are open to the public at least 15 minutes prior to the
posted meeting start time.

A. Call to Order
Vice-President Bigelow called the meeting to order at 6:30pm
B. Roll Call
Present: 5- Boardmember Hall

Staff present:
Pam Harrison, Library Director
Sancie Brown, Senior Administrative Assistant
C. Acceptance of Agenda
Boardmember Fitzgerald moved to accept the agenda as presented.Secretary Meek seconded the
motion.This was accepted.
D. Librarian's Report
Director Harrison reported on the summer reading kickoff day held on May 30th.A live
presentation by Liberty Wildlife on Tuesday, June 5th, brought in 295 attendees. They provided
a variety of birds including an owl, falcon, hawk and turkey vulture. As of Monday we have had
over 1,200 patrons signed up for summer reading. This includes all ages. The library received
an LSTA Express Grant from the Arizona State Library in the amount of$3,000 to support staff
development day for our library.
E. Agenda Items
1. Discussion and possible vote for approval of the Apache Junction Public
Library Board of Trustees 2023/2024 Annual Report.
Secretary Meek moved to approve the Library Board of Trustees Annual Report 2023-2024 as
presented.Boardmember Hall seconded the motion.This was approved.
F. Adjournment
Vice-President Bigelow adjourned the meeting at 6:40pm.
