REGULAR MEETING
June 2, 1981
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board
of Trustees was held on June 2, 1981 at 7:00 p.m. at the Apache
Junction City Hall Complex pursuant to notice as prescribed by
law.

Eleanor Lewis, President
Jan Hiller, Secretary
Elizabeth Burks
Hazel Eldridge
Don Taylor
ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA:
ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES

OLD BUSINESS:
Lillian Castro
Mary Fitzgibbon was to have been pre-
sent to start a Friends of the Library
group.Unfortunately, she was on va-
cation.
A motion to accept the minutes was made
by Elizabeth Burks and seconded by
Donald Taylor.Motion carried unani-
mously.
None.
Ms. Opal Hanson hopes to be able to
present the new contract to the City
of Apache Junction at the July meeting.
Publicize to local businesses the need
for civic participation to enable the
City to take over and meet expenses of
the new library.Also, dollars donated
to be tax deductable.
A memorandum was sent to the City
Council recommending they retain the
current membership of Mrs. Eldridge and
Mrs. Burks for another term to the Board
of Trustees beginning July 1, 1981.
NEW BUSINESS:None
A motion was made by Donald Taylor to
adjourn, and seconded by Mrs. Eldridge.
Motion carried unanimously.
