HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981 12-21 Library Special MinutesCITY OF APACHE JUNCTION LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES 1001 North Idaho Road Apache Junction, AZ 85220 SPECIAL MEETING A special meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was held on December 21, 1981, at 10:00 a.m. in the Community Services Activity Room pursuant to notice as prescribed by law. PRESENT ABSENT: Elizabeth Burks, President Don Taylor, Secretary Jan Hiller Hazel Eldridge Eleanor Lewis Guests:Mayor Wendell Clarke Bill McDaniel, Acting City Manager Lillian Castro CALL TO ORDER:The meeting was called to order by Elizabeth Burks, President. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA 6 -MONTH BUDGET: ADJOUNTMENT: APPROVED: A motion was made by Jan Hiller and seconded by Eleanor Lewis to accept the agenda as presented, which carried unanimously. Agenda Item:Preparation of a six- month budget for a six month Period. Librarian $6,000.00 Lights, heat/cooling 600.00 water 120.00 Library supplies 200.00 Travel 250.00 Postage 100.00 Printing/Binding 200.00 9ooks/Periodicals 1,500.00 Telephone 300.00 TOTAL BUDGET $10,650.00 A motion was made by Hazel Eldridge to accept the above budget, and seconded by Jan Hiller.Motion carried unanimously. Acting City Manager, Bill McDaniel, was present to review the budget.Mr. Mc- Daniel suggested an effective date of acceptance of the LIbrary be Feb. 1,1992. The question of who should take the in- ventory was asked.Mr. McDaniel was suggested.Also suggested was the Library Trustees and helpers. Eleanor Lewis made a motion to adjourn, with Hazel Eldridge making the second. Motion carried unanimously.
