SPECIAL MEETING
January 23, 1982
A Special Meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of
Trustees was held on January 23, 1982 at 10:00 a.m. at the Apache
Junction City Hall Complex pursuant to notice as prescribed by law.
PRESENT ABSENT
Don Taylor, Secretary
Jan Hiller
Hazel Eldridge
Lillian Castro
Eleanor Lewis
Jeff Bell, Community Services Superintendent, was also present to
assist with interviewing the applicants for librarian.
CALL TO ORDER:
ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA:
In the absence of a president, Don
Taylor, secretary, called the meeting
to order.
Hazel Eldridge made a motion to
accept the agenda as presented which
carried the item of Interviews.
Lillian Castro seconded the motion
which carried unanimously.
Jan Hiller made a motion to begin
with the interviews, seconded by
Lillian Castro.Motion carried
unanimously.
A motion was made by Hazel Eldridge
to hire a librarian, notify all
applicants, a letter to be prepared
to each applicant as to why we have
not accepted their application.We
have determined that Elizabeth Burks
fills the requirements better than the
others.Our recommendation is to
recommend to the City Council that
Elizabeth' Burks be hired.Motion
was seconded by Jan Hiller and carried
unanimou61y.
Jan Hiller made a motion to adjourn
with Lillian Castro seconding the
motion.Motion carried unanimously.
