REGULAR MEETING
February 2, 1982
A Regular Meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of
Trustees was held on February 2, 1982 at 7:00 p.m. at the Apache
Junction City Hall Complex pursuant to notice as prescribed by law.

STAFF PRESENT:Elizabeth Burks, Librarian
CALL TO ORDER:The meeting was called to order by
Don Taylor, secretary.
ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA:

DISCUSSION TOPICS:
A motion was made by Eleanor Lewis
to accept the agenda as presented.
Motion seconded by Jan Hiller, and
carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Hazel Eldridge
to accept the minutes of the meetings
of January 5, 9, 23, 1982 as presented.
Motion was seconded by Jan Hiller,
and carried unanimously.
Elect a temporary chairman.Eleanor
Lewis nominated Hazel Eldridge as
temporary chairman.No other
nominations, so nominations were
closed.Hazel Eldridge was elected
temporary chairman by a unanimous
vote.
Library Hours for the public will be
the same as the old hours, until we
see a time for change.
An advisory council with Elizabeth
Burks and the volunteers that have
been working with the old library .
Library cards, follow old library
standard operation procedures, find
out from other libraries what they
are doing to handle theirs.
How much help are we going to need,
can we get a part-time clerk, and
how many volunteers will help.
Elizabeth will find out what organi-
zations have been donating and try
to keep these funds available.
A Friends of the Library group needs
to be established.
Publicity for the library, pictures,
etc.', need for volunteers.

Night lights are needed around library.
Some time in the near future, a 'dedi-
cation ceremony is to be held with
City, Mayor and guests.
Elizabeth Burks will need Thursday off
early so she can attend a course in
Phoenix.
A monthly report from the librarian
will be a part of the agenda.
Have new information on platt layout
legal rules, and regulations as filed
with Pinal County Court House.
A motion was made by Jan Hiller to
adjourn.Motion seconded by Eleanor
Lewis and carried unanimously.
