ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA:
BUSINESS --JOB ANALYSIS:
BUDGET 82/83
A motion was made by Lillian Castro to
accept the agenda as presented.Margaret
Carlin seconded the motion which carried
unanimously.
The City Manager, Jim Tuvell, worked with
the Library Board in creating a job
analysis chart about the position of the
librarian.He furnished the general
headings of: tasks, frequency of duties,
difficulties of duties, consequence of
error in duties. The next section in-
cluded the knowledge, skills and the
abilities needed to perform the job and
whether they would be needed the first day
or at a later time.
We, the Library Board, along with Elizabeth
Burks supplied the topics of tasks and the
information about the knowledge skills and
abilities needed.
The reason for this job analysis is so
that a job description can be written and
also the three following things: 1) pay
scale comparison; 2) test questions for a
new position; 3) performance evaluations.
The City Manager said he would make up a
chart about this position of librarian
and get back with the Board about the job
analysis and job description.
The budget was discussed and an approximate
set of figures were arrived at.The -budget
will be discussed and an exact figure
arrived at in a later meeting.
