A motion was made by Jan Hiller to
accept the agenda as presented.Motion
was seconded by Eleanor Lewis and
passed unanimously.
The library ordinances of various
Arizona towns were read and discussed.
The ordinance of Tempe seemed to suit
us best so with additions and altera-
tions, we will in part pattern our
ordinance after it.
Elizabeth Burks turned in her letter,
stating that she no longer wished to
continue as librarian, (see enclosed
letter).
Coments by Elizabeth Burks:too much
time spent beyond the required 40
hours a week, it amounted to about 60
hours in reality.However, she would
like to be considered for a part time
position.
Discussion:How can we accept this
letter without the word resignation.
We did accept but with an amendment to
read "to June 30, 1982", and delete
by May 30, 1982.She will also do the
same with her letter to the City Manager.
A motion to adjourn was made by Eleanor
Lewis, seconded by Don Taylor, and
passed unanimously.
