SPECIAL MEETING
June 24,1982
A Special Meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees
was held on June 24,1982 at 9:00 a.m.at the Apache Junction Library
pursuant to notice as prescribed by law.
PRESENT ABSENT

STAFF PRESENT:Elizabeth Burks,Librarian
OTHERS PRESENT:Jim Tuvall,City Manager

Eleanor Lewis made a motion to accept
the agenda as presented.Motion was
seconded by Ruby Forsberg and passed unanimously.
Jan Hiller made a motion to recommend to
the Mayor and City Council that we hire
Pamela Glowka as Librarian.The motion
was seconded by Lillian Castro and
passed unanimously.
We,the Library Board,sat down with
the City Manager who presented a complied
sheet of the interviewers and the interviewed
and the points scored for each of the
candidates for Librarian.After a discussion
with the City Manager about the information
he received by telephone,we chose Pamela
Glowka to be the best person for this
position.
Pamela Glowka will not be available for
the position until July 15.Elizabeth
Burks is going to continue in her position
until the new person takes over and then
continue with her for a short period of
time so that she can acquaint her with
the people and the system.
Eleanor Lewis made a motion to adjourn
with the motion seconded by Ruby Forsberg.
Motion carried unanimously.
