Regular Meeting
Sept. 7, 1982
A Regular Meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was
held on Sept. 7, 1982 at 7:00 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library Pursuant to
notice as prescribed by law.

A motion was made by Eleanor Lewis--to accept
the agenda as presented. Motion seconded by
Ruby Forsberg,and passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Ruby Forsberg.to accept
the minutes of the Regular Meeting July 16,
1982, the Motion was seconded by Eleanor Lewis.
The Librarian gaye a_report_om_the_circulation
figures for July and_August.
The librarian discussed several things:
The fireman's demonstration was a success. We
have several new volunteers.After an incident
at the Library the flag will be put up regularly.
The Arizona books will be cataloged and put into
a seperate section. Some new phonograph records
were donated.
Eleanor Lewis gave a report on the Friends of
the Library.A logo was designed by G. Johnston.
The problem of storing the books before the sale
has been solved.
A sign for the Library is currently under design.
by the city and is to be finished sometime in the
near future.
NEW BUSINESS:
A.Construction of Library A drawing and place to put it are now in progress
door.Our thought is that it should go in the North
West corner of the new edition, consideration of
the septic tank and dry well are just off that
corner.
B.Discussion of expanding We have discussed problems of availability of
library hours.personnel and working hours.We have left the
hours of the librarian flexible as long as she
puts in 40 hours.The times of opening at this
time will be up to her discretion.

ADJOURNMENT:
We have received a letter from the Florence,
Public Library Board that they have heard a
rumour that the Final County Free Library will
not be funded for the coming year.We will
formulate a letter and express our concern.
A motion was made by Ruby Forsberg to adjourn.
Motion was seconded by Lillian Castro and pas-
sed unanimously.
