Roll call -- Present: Carlin, Margaret Forsberg, Ruby Hiller, Jan Taylor, Donald at the Apache Junction Library pursuant Staff Present:Pamela Loui, Librarian Absent: Eldridge, Hazel (excused) Lewis, Eleanor Dorothy Daniels, President of the Friends of the library. 1.Acceptance of Agenda: 2.Acceptance of Minutes: 3.Librarian's Report: 4.Old Business: A.Book Drop. B.Selection Policy. New Business: A. Circulation System. B. Library Policy. C. Missing minutes of Library Board meetings. A motion was made by Don Taylor to accept the agenda as presented.The motion was seconded by Ruby Forsberg and passed un- animously. No minutes available. The Mobile Herald will be publishing a book review each month.The program last Mondal, presented by the Apache Junction Firefight- ers was well received.All of the news- papers in Apache Junction have been giving the Library publicity - the Apache Junctior Independent had an editorial about the Lib- rary.The Bucket Brigade donated some children books. After some discussion - a motion was made by Don Taylor, to have an in -wall book re- turn be purchased and same be installed by a licensed mason.The motion was seconded by Jan Hiller and passed unanimously. Has been tabled until the Librarian, Pamela Loui, has more time to study the policies. After discussion of several Circulations Systems - A motion was made by Jan Hiller to lease a system for $195.00 per year, plus supplies.The motion was seconded by Don Taylor and passed unanimously. Has been tabled for further study. Librarian, Pamela Loui reported that Jan- uary, 1983; May, 1983; June, 1983; August, 1983 and September, 1983 minutes are mis- sing from the files.There are to be min- utes typed even though no meeting was held for lack of quorum. D. Election of officers.Has been tabled until next meeting when more are in attendance. Don Taylor submitted his letter of resigna- tion from the Library Board of Trustees. A motion was made by Jan Hiller to accept Don's resignation with regrets.The motior was seconded by Ruby Forsberg.See attach- ed letter. 7.Adjournment: (2.4-Prq0idept elf )1., crekry'Si Dorothy Daniels, Friends of the Library, announced that there will be a reception for Pamela Loui, new Librarian, October 17 th, 8 to 9 p.m. at the Library. A motion was made by Ruby Forsberg to ad- journ.The motion was seconded by Jan Hiller and passed unanimously.Time of ad- journment was 8:15 p.m.
