Meeting Minutes
Representatives from the Boy Scouts gave a presentation on their application and request for
human services funding. The commission and presenters discussed the application and
request. The Boy Scout application was incomplete and therefore not eligible for FY 23 funding.
Representatives from the Apache Junction Reach Out (Food Bank) gave a presentation on
their application and request for human services funding. The commission and presenters
discussed the application and request.
Representatives from the New Leaf gave a presentation on their application and request for
human services funding. The commission and presenters discussed the application and
request.
Representatives from the Salvation Army gave a presentation on their application and request
for human services funding. The commission and presenters discussed the application and
request.
Representatives from the Genesis Project gave a presentation on their application and request
for human services funding. The commission and presenters discussed the application and
request.
Representatives from the Apache Junction Community Development Corporation gave a
presentation on their application and request for human services funding. The commission and
presenters discussed the application and request.
Representatives from the Boys and Girls Club have a presentation on their application and
request for human services funding. The commission and presenters discussed the application
and request.

5.22-195 Announcement of community events.
Commissioner Brennan announced Maricopa County Community College has a three hour
course available for those wishing to work at Intel.
Commissioner Borey announced there an upcoming Easter egg hunt is scheduled at
Prospector Park. More information can be found on the Parks and Recreation website.
Chair Mitchell stated the Rotary Club of Superstition Mountain invites everyone to their meetings
on Wednesday at 12:00 at the Gold Canyon Gold Resort. Their "Week of Service" is the week
of April 15th and the club will be repainting student parking spaces and as well as the red curbs
at the high school. He announced the Kiwanis Club is having a meeting on April 28th at the
Salvation Army and invites everyone to attend. He also said the Boys and Girls Club fundraising
event is on April 9th at Dolce Vita.

City Clerk Jennifer Pena said the Health and Human Services meetings are held the 4th Monday
of each month at 5:00 p.m. She added the date and time may be adjusted if there is a city
council meeting scheduled the same night.

month at 5:00 p.m. in the city council chambers located at 300 E. Superstition
Boulevard.
