New BusinessG. 1.22-465 Presentation and discussion on contract compliance requirements with the Health and Human Services funding granted by the city. City Clerk Jennifer Pena reviewed Ordinance 659 with the Commission and explained the required documentation and reporting requirements sections. 2.22-466 Presentation and discussion on changes to Apache Junction City Code, Volume 1, Chapter 2: Mayor, Council, and Appointed Boards and Commissions, Article 2-11: Health and Human Services Commission, Section 2-11-2, Membership and terms of office. City Clerk Jennifer Pena announced City Council approved to increase the Commission to 7 members for next year. The applications for new members are being accepted until September 15, 2022 and the new terms begin November 1, 2022. City Clerk Jennifer Pena explained the reporting requirements form and the agreements for the non-profit funding. She emphasized organizations not duplicating efforts and using the funds for the specified projects listed in the agreements. Information and ReportsH. The Commission shared events coming up in the community. Each non-profit spoke about their current events and challenges they are facing. Staff Liaison's ReportI. City Clerk Jennifer Pena advised that the Apache Junction Police Department is working on getting more involved in homeless issues and invited everyone to attend the Planning and Zoning Commission meetings if they are interested in development in the City.
