Chairperson Mitchell called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m.

Chairperson Mitchell led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Danford moved,seconded by Commissioner Brennan to approve the Consent
Agenda.

3. 23-115 Presentation and discussion on FY 2022-2023 Quarter 1 and Quarter 2
services provided from A New Leaf, Apache Junction Community
Development Corporation, Boys & Girls Club of the Valley, Superstition
Food Bank, Genesis and the Salvation Army.
Representatives from the currently funded non-profit agencies each presented their Quarter 1
and Quarter 2 reports, with further information on their process and the services they are
providing.
H. Information and Reports
4. 23-116 Announcement of community events.
Commissioner Brennan announced a program that assists victims of domestic and sexual
violence, and more information can be found at www.Against-Abuse.org.
Chairperson Mitchell shared information on the weekly meetings for Apache Junction Rotary
Club and the Kiwanis Club.
A professional development event to be held on March 7, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at
Gilbert MVS Tags, located at 4635 E Baseline in Mesa.
Chairperson Mitchell also encouraged everyone to attend the upcoming Blues and Brews
Festival at Flatiron Park, March 11, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

5. 23-117 The next tentative scheduled meeting for Health and Human Services
Commission will be March 27, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in the city council
chambers, located at 300 E. Superstition Boulevard.
Commissioner Moeller moved,seconded by Commissioner Danford the next Health and Human
Services Commission meeting be held on Monday, March 27, 2023,at 5:00p.m. in the city council
chambers located at 300 E.Superstition Boulevard,Apache Junction, AZ.
