A CELEBRATION OF AMERICA 250!
JANUARY 2026
WHEREAS, on July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate the
Semiquincentennial anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of
Independence; and
WHEREAS, this historic milestone provides an opportunity to reflect on our
nation's past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look
ahead to future generations who will carry forward the ideals of
democracy and individual liberty that make the United States a
unique nation in the world community; and
WHEREAS, the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)
is a non-political women's service organization, established in 1890,
whose members are lineally descended from Patriots of the
American Revolution; and
WHEREAS, from the 250" anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in 2023 through
the 250" anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 2033,
Daughters of the American Revolution are honoring the men and
women who achieved American Independence-Patriots who
believed in the noble cause of liberty and fought valiantly to
establish a new nation; and
WHEREAS, the Arizona State Daughters of the American Revolution will be
active throughout this period of national commemoration;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Walter"Chip" Wilson, Mayor of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona, do hereby proclaim January 2026, as
A CELEBRATION OF AMERICA 250!
