1 Presentation and discussion with Town of Queen Creek and City
of Apache Junction staff regarding common planning goals and
anticipated future community boundaries
2. Update on current developments from Town of Queen Creek and
City of Apache Junction staff regarding economic development
and transportation program
3 Discussion of structure and frequency of council meetings of the
Town of Queen Creek and the City of Apache Junction The
structure and frequency of the work sessions and council
meetings for the municipalities are different and this item will give
the town council and city council along with staff the opportunity
to discuss these differences

1. Introductions and opening remarks — Mayor Insalaco and Mayor Barney.
Mayor Insalaco opened the meeting and welcomed all those in attendance:

2. Presentation and discussion with the Town of Queen Creek and City of Apache
Junction staff regarding common planning goals and anticipated future community
boundaries.
Discussion was in regard to planning boundaries, specifically the state land areas and
splitting sales tax revenues along the future SR24 extension and a possible agreement
or resolution between Apache Junction and Queen Creek.

3. Update on current developments from the Town of Queen Creek and City of Apache
Junction staff regarding economic development and transportation program.
Queen Creek Economic Development Director Doreen Cott and Apache Junction
Economic Development Administrator provided updates on programs/activities within
economic development
Queen Creek Public Works Director Troy White and Apache Junction Public Works
Director Giao Pham provided updates on road improvements and maintenance funding
sources
4. Discussion of structure and frequency of council meetings of the Town of Queen
Creek and City of Apache Junction. The structure and frequency of the work sessions
and council meetings for the municipalities are different and this item will give the Town
Council and City Council along with staff the opportunity to discuss these differences

Discussion was about various meeting opportunities as members of other organizations
and attendance at conferences Mayor Barney explained Queen Creek's new agenda
format and meeting schedule. The meeting schedule for Apache Junction was
explained.

The meeting adjourned at 7.50 p.m.
