SPECIAL MEETING
JANUARY 5, 1987
The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona, was held on January 5, 1987, at the Apache Junction City Council
Chambers pursuant to the notice required by law.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Hill called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m.

PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 563, AMENDING
APACHE JUNCTION ZONING ORDINANCE BY
".. REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 486, ADULT USES
(With the Emergency Clause) )
) Acting City Manager/City Clerk
Kathleen Connelly explained that due to effective dates and legal requirements,
the Council wished to have a Special Meeting to act on this amendment to the
Zoning Ordinance, and that Ordinance No. 563 would repeal the existing Adult
Uses which is schedule to become effective on January 6th.
Vice Mayor Bakkedahl MOVED THAT
ORDINANCE NO. 563, BE READ BY TITLE ONLY WITH THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE, AND THE
READING OF THE ENTIRE ORDINANCE BE WAIVED.
Councilman Baljo seconded the
motion.

ORDINANCE NO. 563, AN ORDINANCE OF
THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, AMENDING THE
APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, ZONING ORDINANCE, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 486;
AMIft REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
Vice Mayor Bakkedahl MOVED THAT
ORDINANCE NO. 563, AS READ BY THE CITY CLERK, BE APPROVED AND ADOPTED.
Councilman Baljo seconded the
motion.
VOTE: Unanimous
The motion carried.
RESIGNATION FROM THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT )
Councilman Baljo MOVED THAT THE
RESIGNATION OF JERRY BURGESS FROM THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS, BE ACCEPTED WITH
REGRET.
Councilwoman Taylor seconded the
motion.
VOTE: Unanimous
The motion carried.
