Regular Meeting
November 5, 1985
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was held
November 5, 1985 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as
prescribed by law.
Roll Call --
Present:

Staff: Pamela Loui, Librarian
1. Acceptance of Agenda: Motion to accept agenda was made by
Rosaline Debnam and seconded by
Hazel Eldridge. Unanimous.
2. Acceptance of Minutes for October 1,
1985 Regular Meeting: Motion to accept minutes of
October 1 meeting was made by
Hazel Eldridge and seconded by
Ruby Forsberg. Passed unanimously.
3. Acceptance of Minutes for October 23,
1985 Special Meeting: Motion to accept minutes for
October 23 meeting made by Hazel
Eldridge and seconded by Ruby
Forsberg. Passed unanimously.
.••. 4. Librarian Report: Pamela Loui, Librarian, reported
a total circulation of 5,094 this
past month, compared to 4,439 a
year ago. There were five story
hours held in October with total
of 67 participants. One workshop
with 33 participants. Approximately
75 people attending the ground
breaking. Motion was made by
Ruby Forsberg, and seconded by
Hazel Eldridge to accept Librarians
Report. Accepted unanimously.
5. Old Business:
A. Status report on new library building: It was reported that the new
building was started on schedule.
They are working on the foundation.
6. New Business:
A. Appointment of secretary to fill
vacancy: Motion made by Rosaline Debnam
and seconded by Hazel Eldridge to
postpone appointment of secretary
until new members are appointed to
Board of Trustees. Passed
unanimously.
B. Review of talent bank applications
and recommendation from Board for
filling existing vacancy: Motion made by Rosaline Debnam and
seconded by Hazel Eldridge that the
Talent Bank applications of Wendell
Clarke and Margaret Carlin be
accepted. Passed unanimously.

C. Review of library volunteer's
request to purchase a book
held by the library: Motion made by Hazel Eldridge and
seconded by Rosaline Debnam to have
the volunteer purchase said book.
Motion carried.
7. Call to the Public: None present.
8. Requests for Future Agenda Items: None mentioned.
9. Adjournment: Motion made by Hazel Eldridge and
seconded by Rosaline Debnam that
meeting be adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
