Idaho Road Regular Meeting July 1 , 1986 A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was held July 1 , 1986 at 6 : 00 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce pursuant to notice as prescribed by law. " Roll Call -- Present Absent Eldridge, Hazel Debnam, Rosaline Gordon, Barbara Forsberg, Ruby Sterr, Catharine Staff: Pamela Loui, Librarian Others present: Hazel Jones 1 . Acceptance of Agenda: Motion was made by Ruby Forsberg and seconded by Barbara Gordon to accept the agenda. Passed unanimously. 2 . Acceptance of Minutes: Motion to accept the minutes of the June 3 , 1986 meeting was made by Ruby Forsberg and seconded by Catharine Sterr. Passed ... unanimously. 3 . Librarian Report: Pamela Loui, Librarian, reported that circulation for the month was 2195 , up from 1935 a month ago, and 1891 a year ago. New readers registered were 149 . Currently the library is closed and in the process of moving into the new building. Open House will be held July 12, 1986 at 9 : 00 a.m. with Monday, July 14 being the first day open in the new facilities . New hours will go into effect in September. 4 . New Business: Ruby Forsberg recommended, seconded by Barbara Gordon, that the names of Terry Spence and Linda Navarre be submitted to the City Council for appointment to AIM the Library Board. Passed unanimously. Policy concerning reserved use of the program room by the public was discussed, including such items as fees, insurance and liability. Ruby Forsberg gave information as to the Chamber of Commerce' s policy. Pamela Loui also had pertinent information from the Casa Grande Library. City of Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees Regluar Meeting July 1 , 1986 Page 2 Hazel Eldridge appointed a committee, Ruby Forsberg as Chair-person, and Barbara Gordon, member, to work on policies and report at the next meeting. 5. Call to the Public: No comments. 6 . Requests for future agenda items: Status of recommendations to City Council for Board Members, policy report and other items as may be sub- mitted for inclusion before next meeting. 7 .
