Regular Meeting
November 4, 1986
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was held
November 4, 1986 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to notice as
prescribed by law.

1. Acceptance of Agenda. Motion was made by Ruby Forsberg and
seconded by Terry Spence to accept the
agenda. Motion passed.
2. Acceptance of Minutes: Motion was made by Terry Spence and
seconded by Barbara Gordon to accept
the minutes of the October 7, 1986
regular meeting. Motion passed.
..ma 3. Librarian Report: Librarian's report showed an increased
circulation and more than 350 titles
added to the collection. Reference
questions for the month totaled 156.
A workshop on new tax law was held
as were 34 story hours.
Donations of $686. included four
supplements to the Oxford Dictionary.
The first three months of the fiscal
year shows 36% of the budget spent.
A new librarian will join the staff
on Nov. 10, 1986. Mr. Spencer Paden
will work with the young adult and
adult services. Policy for room use
at the library was approved by the
City Council on October 21, 1986.
4. Old Business.
A. Status report on Superstition
Mountain Historical Museum display: There was nothing to report at this
time.
5. New Business:
A. Introduction and welcome of new
Library Board of Trustee Member. Mrs. Cheryl Class-Erickson was
introduced by Pamela Loui and welcomed
by the members.
B. Review of duties of the
Library Board of Trustees: Each trustee received a copy of the
city code pertaiing to the Board.
C. Review and update on library
policies. Three minor additions were noted and
will be presented again in December
for acceptance.

7. Requests for future agenda items: Honorariums
8. Adjournment: Motion made by Barbara Gordon and
seconded by Terry Spence to adjourn.
